Mind you with that name/logo lameness going on, maybe they would…
Do you think they’ll have A Lawn by the pool with deckchairs and tennis and croquet and Pimms?
By the way, what’s with the guy in uniform telling everyone at the pool to be quiet?
]]>For me it’s a hard one to call, but they’re both really exciting. I know some are skeptical (understandably after some of the disasters and near disaster of recent years, FB anyone?), but I think RW will deliver.
I know Genting don’t have much of a presence in the States yet but by quantity they’re the biggest casino operator in the UK now (somewhere around the 50 mark I believe), and they’ve just opened the first vaguely Vegas style resort (a RW) here this year. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nothing at all like a Vegas resort, but it’s the closest thing we have so far.
Except it’s in Birmingham. I don’t know what Birmingham, AL is like but if it’s anything like Birmingham, England, it’s not a place you get excited about going to, RW or no RW (unless it’s for the cricket, but anyway).
They do have much bigger resorts scattered through Asia though, and they’re a huge player there with a lot of cash behind them and about $4bn in revenue.
So to me there’s no concern that RW won’t get built, I just think they’re not making a noise about it right now. Probably because they’re Malaysian and that’s not the Malaysian style.
Anyway I don’t care which gets done first, as long as they both get done and hopefully in 2018. That is going to be a very exciting time in LV!
