Too bad the highest “OFFICIAL” recorded temperature in Vegas was 118 degrees, or 47.8 degrees Celsius. This happened in July of 1931.
]]>I’ve been traveling to Las Vegas since I was 10 years old. The first year I came to Vegas it was one of the hottest summers on record!! I actually had an experience with a cowboy who invited me and a friend over to the front of his truck to watch him fry an egg on the hood of his old Ford truck. For approximately 2 days it was 125 degrees Fahrenheit in the shade.
Something I will never forget that was my first trip to Las Vegas with my parents and my best friend.
