]]>That sounds about right. The DeLaGuarda/Fuerza Bruta creators aren’t interesting in creating anything other than a spectacle. When one of their shows was here in South Florida, I was ready go until I heard one of the producers on TV basically saying there’s no meaning behind any of their shows. They are just empty acts signifying nothing.
]]>No matter what Vegas thinks about itself, it’s not really that forward thinking/avant garde. Neither are its visitors. Hence the constant replication of one thing that works until it’s completely overdone. Another Cirque show/night club with one syllable name/shopping arcade in front of a hotel/pool party/CVS pharmacy anyone? Now that’s more like it.
]]>It’s actually produced by the same people that did DeLaGuarda and is very similar. These were actually two of my favorite shows I’ve ever seen in Vegas. However, I think something so unique needs time to build an audience and unfortunately neither show was given the opportunity.
